Picking a mattress size is the first step toward better sleep. There are many factors that you should keep in mind when picking the mattress that’s right for you: your space, your sleeping arrangements, and your habits.

Twin: 39” x 75” Full: 54” x 75” Queen: 60” x 80” King: 75” x 80”

Twin & Full

If your space is small or you’re shopping for a child, check out a twin mattress (or the extra 5” length of a twin xl) or a full mattress. While these sizes may not provide the most room to spread out, there’s still plenty of comfort to be had! These bed sizes are ideal for bunk beds, day beds, loft spaces, futons (full), or guest rooms.
So, give your kids, overnight guest, or in-laws enough room to get sound, sweet sleep. We do not, however, recommend making your in-laws sleep on a twin.

Queen

If those options don’t float your dream ship, why not check out a queen mattress? This mattress will give you and your sleep partner plenty of spread-out space.
Give a queen mattress a try for more room and more comfortable sleep. Be sure to measure out your bedroom or sleep space before getting a bed larger than a full. No one wants to squeeze between a dresser and a bed in the morning rush to get ready for work, even if you work from home.

King

Still not enough? Do you have the itch to sleep like royalty? Is the 60” x 80” size of a queen not doing the job? Then it’s time to check out a king mattress, sometimes referred to as an Eastern king mattress. These mattresses have typically more than enough room for you, your partner, and maybe even a pet or two. Again, make sure your room is big enough for the extra 16” width and don’t forget to take your bed frame into account. It’s also important to make sure you can maneuver the 76” x 80” mattress up stairs and through doorframes.
